What Is the Dyson Hair Dryer Made of
Its launch in September 2016 was one of the most anticipated of the year by beauty addicts. The first Dyson hair dryer, well named Supersonic, promises to "upset the universe of beauty". And because: from its design to its functioning, the essential capillary accessory of our bathrooms has been completely redesigned by the British brand.
The pitch of the brand
Developed by a team of 15 engineers, the machine operates with a digital motor, as small as it is light , placed in the handle of the device and not in the head of the latter as is usually the case. This makes it "up to 8 times faster than traditional hairdryers" and half lighter, says the brand.
Thanks to its Air MultiplierTM technology, which is used on Dyson- without blades, the volume of air sucked by the motor is amplified, which allows the device to project a very powerful airflow and homogeneous. As the icing on the cake, it is actually quieter than other hairdryers .
The Promise of the Hair Dryer
Equipped with a thermal sensor that measures the air flow temperature 20 times per second , the Dyson hairdryer transmits the data to a microprocessor that adjusts the temperature accordingly, a contrario of traditional hairdryers which tend to tutoyer of high degrees. The hair fiber is thus protected, the hair is shiny.
In practice
With 3 temperature levels, 3 blast speeds and a cold air button, the temperature and airflow can be adjusted according to the needs of the user. Three magnetic tips allow simple and even more precise styling.
The price ?
It takes 399 euros exactly to acquire the SupersonicTM Dyson. The latter is for sale on the site of the mark and exclusively in Sephora stores.

Hair type: thick and curly
Highlights : First, its "supersonic" drying. This is what sets it apart from other hairdryers in the market, in addition to its aesthetics. It is lighter, more compact, more ergonomic. Not to mention its futuristic look and its program to LEDs that make it as attractive as it is pleasant to use. Another strong point in the comfort of use: its accessories. The two nozzles and the diffuser are magnetized, and it is accompanied by a small non-slip mat to prevent it from slipping into the washbasin of the bathroom.
Her last point is about women who are looking for volume. Its propelled air gives density to the hair.
Weaknesses : regarding styling, the nozzles intended for the general public are in my opinion too short and do not control / contain enough air propelled by the machine. On the temperature side too, its hottest program is not enough in comparison to other hair dryers market. This makes the styling longer, especially in the case of thick and / or curly hair. The time gained on drying is finally lost on the styling. That said, this thermoregulation is less aggressive for the hair fiber ... Hopefully, maybe these two flats are adjusted for the V2?

Hair type: fine and wavy
Highlights : What a design! It could almost appear as a decorative object in my bathroom. Its lightness and long handle make it a very handy device, and therefore facilitate drying. The tips fit magnetically, it's a real time saver when, like me, we use several.
I was also surprised by the noise, well reduced. No more hair drying that benefits the whole family as well as neighbors. For my slightly wavy fine hair, the temperature and the power of the breath are perfect. Thanks to the hollow diffuser tip, my ripple has taken shape in no time!
Weaknesses : I only see one flat, its price ... still quite high. Finally, despite the Heat Shield technology, the tips remain warm when you want to change them, be careful with your fingers!

Hair type: long, fine and smooth
Highlights : The design of the object makes it easier to handle and use thanks to its handle, longer than that of conventional hair dryers. Its featherweight is also a plus, especially when you embark on a professional style styling like blow drying. No cramp in the forearm, even after several minutes. Finally, reducing noise is not just a promise, even if it is not completely silent!
I liked the speed of drying (3 minutes, chrono in hand, while I have long hair) and the result: the hair is supple and more brilliant than with a traditional hair dryer, no doubt thanks to the thermoregulation of the accessory. The hair fiber is not hot or hot, as is often the case after drying.
I also noticed, each time, a beautiful volume, more marked and durable than that obtained with other devices, a bargain for my fine hair! The three magnetised nozzles sold with the hair dryer, which allow to adapt to all natures and to switch during hairdressing without having to dismantle everything.
Weaknesses : The price, obviously, which will discourage many despite the quality of the product. And to nibble, I regretted the absence of a fastener that shortens the electric cable, very long, which tends to drag on the ground.

- For a natural drying with a soft and shiny result : "I set the hair dryer in position 1 for the breath, powerful enough, but also for the temperature. No need for tip, you dry by hand, head down to get a nice volume. "
- For a brushing of pro : "In this case, I use the tips. The roots are smoothed towards the tips, blowing downwards, keeping the device as close as possible to the hair fiber. If necessary, the temperature is increased slightly. "
- The often misunderstood accessory that makes the difference? "The diffuser makes it possible to make a lot of hairstyles, and it is not only reserved for curly hair! "Explains the hairdresser. "After applying a moisturizing treatment to wet hair, the lengths are dried in packages to obtain a nice wavy effect for example."
